7. Experiment 2

(27/08/2011) I have had some server problems recently, although I am not absolutely sure yet, I am blaming the number of WordPress copies that I currently have running on quite a small server.  The memory is getting used up very quickly, the Apache server is the problem because I can restart it and get my memory back. Perhaps I am letting it spawn too to many processes. I could restart it on a bigger platform but that would cost more and for now, I want to keep costs down. I also want to build more sites so I have put the server restart on a crone job to restart every 4 house with cures the problem for the moment and I am going to do my next affiliate site using a lightweight formula; Just web pages. To speed up the process I decided to look for some SEO ready templates and I found this really good one.

Within 24 hours, I have registered and configured a domain, built the site using the template with original content, built site maps and robots.txt, submitted it to about a dozen major search engines (see the tool at the bottom of the page), spell checked it at: http://www.further.co.uk/free-website-spellcheck/, validated the html at:  http://validator.w3.org/, checked the load speed at: http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/ and checked all the links at: http://validator.w3.org/checklink. I also registered the domain and submitted the site maps to Google at http://www.google.com/webmasters then added tracking at: http://www.google.com/analytics/

All in all a good job, I wonder if I should give it the bridge page test!!!

    Hi Dave,

Thanks for mentioning my free template and I hope you found it useful. I’m actually in the process of doing another shortly so I’ll keep you posted when it’s ready.

    Thanks again,
    Dave.
